Fox News Digital reported that Minneapolis police executing a search warrant on August 25 found multiple weapons and ammunition in an apartment shared by Rep. Ilhan Omar’s son, Adnan Hirsi, 20, and his roommate, Abdulrahman Abdi, 22.
Why police sought the warrant
According to Fox News Digital, officers sought the warrant after Abdi was pulled over in a traffic stop and allegedly lacked a driver’s license and proof of insurance. The outlet reported that a firearm was found in Abdi’s impounded vehicle and described Abdi as a convicted felon who is legally barred from possessing a gun.

Omar’s response on Capitol Hill
Fox News Digital reported that when a reporter asked Rep. Omar in the Capitol what she knew about the search at her son’s residence, she did not respond. The outlet also said her office did not answer its inquiries.
What isn’t alleged
Fox News Digital reported that Omar’s son has not been accused of wrongdoing in connection with the search.
